Deacons
The Board of Deacons works closely with the clergy to provide for meaningful worship experiences on Sundays and other special occasions during the year. They assist in the administration of the sacraments, communion and baptisms, and oversee the spiritual life of the congregation in cooperation with the ministerial staff. The Deacons also extend the spirit of worship to hospitalized and homebound members through the distribution and delivery of flowers and bulletins to those who are unable to be present for worship.
Deacon’s Fund
The Deacon’s Fund is intended to meet the special needs that arise within our community. Funds are collected every Sunday through the special envelopes that are available in the pews. We give from our abundance in order to help those in our community who have sudden, unexpected needs. We encourage you to support this important ministry each week as you are able.
Usher Teams
Ushers provide hospitality during all worship services at Wayzata Community Church by assisting people to their seats and welcoming them to the church. They offer assistance in case of emergencies during worship. We are always in need of people to join one of our many usher teams. Chancel Guild
The Chancel Guild sets the stage for worship. They prepare the communion elements and arrange for seasonal raiments in the sanctuary. They also divide and arrange the Sunday chancel flowers for delivery to shut-ins by the Deacon of the Day.
