Lifelong WCC member, Shelley Perkins, was awarded the Aegis Cross as outstanding volunteer of the month at the March meeting of Church Council. Shelley’s dedication and commitment to Wayzata Community Church is inspiring.

All of our WCC volunteers are amazing people. Volunteerism is the key to the success of many of our programs. While some volunteers don’t mind being recognized and acknowledged, others prefer to be less visible as they go about their work, quietly and humbly, in the wings, behind the scenes. Such is the case with January’s Spirit Award recipient, Jo Buchanan.

Nancy Crist is one of the busiest people at WCC. She is always ready to “roll up her sleeves” and jump in wherever she is needed.

Long-time member and tireless giver to Wayzata Community Church, Rich Carlson has served in countless ways. He is sneaking up on his fortieth year as an active member and has been on many boards and committees over the years. Through his strength of character, and willingness to do anything that needs be done, he has inspired many others to become engaged members of our church.

Congratulations to Bill and Lou Ferril, October’s recipients of the Spirit Award. This award, symbolized by the Aegis cross, is presented monthly to an outstanding volunteer at Wayzata Community Church.
