Christmas Worship

.

Join us at one of our seven Christmas Eve Worship Services to celebrate the coming of Christ. Most services in the Sanctuary will have an overflow option in the Wakefield Chapel. Sanctuary doors will open 30 minutes before each service, and once the Sanctuary is full guests will be ushered into the Chapel to watch the service on a live stream video feed.

Build your Own Christmas Nativity
10:00-11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary
Help us create a live nativity on Christmas Eve! Families are encouraged to come early to help kids choose from our large costume collection (kings, shepherds, barn animals, angels), then step into the Sanctuary and help us make the story come alive! We’ll call your kids forward as we retell the story of the birth of Jesus through scripture reading, carols, king and shepherd puppets and a ”Holy Family”.  This is the perfect service for families with young children. This service will also be livestreamed.

Parables Christmas
11:00 a.m. in the Chapel
We invite you to celebrate the birth of Jesus, Parables style! Join together for a sweet morning of worship and celebration that includes all your favorite Parables traditions with a Christmas twist. Rev. Lindy Purdy will bring an inspiring message, with special music led by our friend, trumpeter Charles Lazarus, as well as many other WCC musicians ready to sing along to your favorite carols. We will conclude with candle lighting (battery powered) and singing Silent Night. All are welcome at this very special, joyful service. This service will also be livestreamed.

Join us for a traditional worship service of Lessons and Carols in Wakefield Chapel. This worship service of scripture and song features organ music, soloists, and a Christmas Message from Rev. Lindy Purdy.
