5/24 UPDATE:
Many thanks to the over 50 people who gathered in the Chapel on May 23rd to learn more about the war in Ukraine from two local residents who have family there. An overview of the history and culture of Ukraine was shared as well as an update on the efforts underway by the Ukrainian American Community Center here in Minneapolis to provide relief to that war-torn country, including a mobile surgical unit that is now in Ukraine and bears the message “Thank You Minnesota”! For more information go to Stand With Ukraine MN
Current Event Conversation: Stand with Ukraine
Mykola Sarazhynskyy is a local businessman who has joined with other people from the Ukrainian American Community Center in Minneapolis to form the group, Stand with Ukraine. They came together because they did not want to feel helpless and sit by while family and friends in Ukraine were in danger. Because of connections with the health care community in Ukraine, they decided to collect, transport and distribute very needed hospital grade medical supplies to areas of Ukraine. Please come to hear Mykola and Victoria Cavanaugh speak about the efforts of their group.
There are many crucial needs in our community, our country, and world. So much good can come when we see a need and respond.
