Curriculum Update – You’re invited to join the Happy Helpers Club!

As we are wrapping up our last week of exploring God’s COLORIFIC world, we invite you to join the Happy Helpers Club!  This theme will be woven through both Sunday and Wednesday programming to get us thinking about, who helps me, and how can I show them I am thankful for them?

Simply put, we want our preschoolers to grow up with eyes that see the helpers and a heart that is thankful, because no matter how grown up you are, you always have people helping you and a thank you goes a long way.  When we stop and think about it, we are surrounded by helpers who deserve a big thank you for all the ways
they help us. They are making the world we live in—the world our preschoolers live in—a better place.

Check out our new Bible verse for the month of November!

Here’s a sneak peek at what we’ll be up to the next few weeks!

October 14&17 – RAINBOW – A sign to remind us that God keeps his promises

October 21&24 – Tabitha [Acts 9:36-39] – I am thankful for people who give me clothes

October 28 – Nehemiah Builds a Wall [Nehemiah 1-6] – I am thankful for people who help me

We sing in 9am Worship on 11/4!  Any children present in the 2-3 year old and 3-5 year old classes that morning will participate alongside their friends and teachers to sing our COLORIFIC theme song, Promises.  We’ve been learning the song with Ms. Autumn in our Block One Wednesday programming and have been singing it on Sunday mornings so all children who have been attending Early Childhood programming will be familiar with the song.  That morning, all children will be brought up to Worship with their class and will have the choice to stand on the steps and sing, or sit on the floor to watch with their teachers.  Practice our song with your child at home before the big day!

Early Childhood on Sundays

9:00am Worship – Volunteer to spend time in your child’s classroom this year!

Family has the most potential to influence a child’s relationship with God.  Something extraordinary can happen in the hearts of the next generation if we take the influences of family (red) and church (yellow) and combine them (to make orange!).  Together we can have a bigger and lasting impact on all of our children.

Early Childhood Ministry at WCC invites you to partner with us and support your child on their journey and first look into what it means to be a Christian.

We know life as a parent is busier than ever, but we would love to have those who feel called to take a little over an hour out of a single Sunday (or more if you just can’t get enough!) to see and experience church alongside your child and his/her friends!  We know each and every one of you has something to offer our ministry and we are thrilled to be able to engage you in this way.

Moms Podcast Club – Monday October 15th

Over 70% of moms in America work, and I bet, that most feel pulled in a thousand directions (prepping for that big meeting at the end of the week, being the family Uber driver, grocery shopping/ cooking meals for the family, providing love & care (without looking tired) to each child, creating a moment of connection with her partner, and don’t forget a moment of self care, like exercise or a soak in the bath or read a chapter in a book). PLUS that crazy pull to be “Pinterest” perfect that mamas sometimes fall for. (deep sigh)

The Moms Podcast Club will be listening beforehand to “For the Love of… with Jen Hatmaker” Parenting episode 3: Working Moms Stretched Too Thin: Jessica Turner on Work- Life Satisfaction

Mark your calendar for Monday, October 15th at 7:30pm to chat about what “work- life satisfaction” can look like and how we can all support each other.
We’ll be checking out a ✨NEW✨ location at Grizzly’s in Plymouth.
