Edith’s House Homeless Kit Supply Drive
We have a wonderful opportunity to serve alongside one of our recent Dough winners, Edith Perlin, founder of Edith’s House. On the fourth Thursday of every month Edith sets up a table for one hour at either a street location where homeless people congregate, or at a day shelter where the homeless can rest and get a meal during the day. Edith uses this opportunity to reach out to the homeless community to talk about the shelter services she provides as well as to offer snack food, and hygiene items. These kits help Edith’s House make connections with homeless adults to get them the help they need to find a new path forward.
We will be collecting items to make up the hygiene kits and to provide snacks for the Outreach Ministry. Click this link https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0f4ba4af28a5f9cf8-edith to view and donate the items needed to make up 200 kits. You can drop items off at the front desk at the church anytime the church is open between now and December 1. Please label all items “Edith’s House Donation”.
Jeff Johnson is also leading an outreach team at Freedom House in St. Paul once a month on Thursday afternoons. If you would like to join this team to help with the outreach ministry for Edith’s House, please contact Mark Bayley (email@example.com) or Jeff Johnson (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.
