The art, whether collage, mixed media, watercolor or acrylic, emphasizes color, texture and composition…. is sometimes abstract, other times loosely representational. The viewer should have fun! The artist, Jean Haefele, likes variety and continually experiments with new materials and techniques. Rules are seldom followed. Much of the art portrays a visual story and incorporates an expressive, playful perspective.
Jean has a B.S. degree in art from Iowa State University, has taught art on the secondary level and has done work for many organizations over the years. She continues to exhibit widely and is an active member of the Hopkins Center for the Arts and Manamore.
