“A man has made at least a start on discovering the meaning of human life
when he plants shade trees under which he knows full well he will never sit.”
Planned Giving ensures that the work and mission of Wayzata Community Church will be faithfully advanced for generations to come through legacy gifts of bequests, trusts or other deferred or estate gifts.
Planned Giving encourages members to leave a legacy by responding thankfully to God for our abundant blessings, by giving a legacy gift that will benefit others long after it was given and then experiencing the joy that comes through sharing.
A planned gift usually occurs through naming Wayzata Community Church as a beneficiary of a:
• IRA/401(k)/Retirement Plan Assets
• Life Insurance Policy
• Bank or Brokerage Account
• Revocable Living Trust
• Annuity/Income Producing Plan
• Other Arrangement
For many people, their estate gift many be the largest gift that they ever give to an organization that has given purpose to their lives. These gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by state and federal laws. Donors are urged to consult an attorney or financial advisor before completing arrangements for legacy gifts.
Gifts may be made to Wayzata Community Church where principal and earnings will be used for programs or projects where the need is greatest, or to the WCC Endowment Fund, where the gift will be invested and only the earnings used for church needs. You don’t have to be wealthy to include WCC in your will, trust, or long-range giving plans. Planned giving is for anyone with a generous spirit for whom WCC has been meaningful.
We invite you to become a part of the WCC Legacy Society, which honors those individuals who have remembered Wayzata Community Church in their wills and financial plans.
