Interfaith Celebration of Peace and Harmony
Sunday, September 8, 2019
10:30-11:15 a.m. at the JJ Hill Days Stage at Lake Street & Minnetonka Avenue
Speaker: LaDonna Hoy, Interfaith Outreach
We are excited to invite you to the second annual Interfaith Celebration on Sunday, September 8 at the JJ Hill Days Stage on Lake Street. Last year was the first of what we hope will be an ongoing tradition of different faiths coming together to share messages of peace, hope and love. This year we will focus on “harmony”. We will combine our voices in prayer, song, and messages of unity and community. Our hope is that we may all experience the harmony of musicians and the harmony of love playing in our hearts. Truly a Community in Unity.
Participating Faith Communities: Wayzata Community Church, Adath Jeshurun Congregation, St. Bart’s Catholic Church, the Northwest Islamic Center, Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Edward the Confessor Episcopal Church, St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church, and Interfaith Outreach.
We will gather at McCormick’s for a bagpipe procession down Lake Street at 10:15 a.m., to the Interfaith Service at 10:30 a.m.
WCC church members are encouraged to make this their worship experience of the day, but services will be offered at the church at 8:00 & 10:00 a.m.— the last Sunday of our summer worship schedule.
