Introducing “Next Chapter”
Providing Resources and Support for those facing the challenges of moving to the Next Chapter in their lives,
to help achieve a successful transition



Next Chapter is designed for those facing the following life transitions:
•  Moving from work to retirement and maximizing meaning and purpose in our senior years
•  Dealing with the loss of a spouse or loved one
•  Additional Next Chapter areas of focus will be added in the future

The following resources will be available:
• A monthly speaker
•  A resource library both online and in the Piper Library
•   Small support groups for people facing the same Next Chapter
•  Service projects for the whole group’s participation

Kickoff Presentation with author Richard Leider

Please join us on Thursday, October 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary for our kickoff presentation with nationally known author Richard Leider.  He will be speaking on his latest book titled, Who Do You Want to be When You Grow Old?  It has received national acclaim, as a resource for people seeking to maximize meaning and purpose in the Next Chapter of their lives.  (Read more about Richard Leader on his website.) Rev. Dr. Allen Hilton, Founder and Leader of House United
Thursday, November 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary
Rev. Dr. Allen Hilton helps people connect and understand one another across lines of political and racial difference. He is the founder and leader of the non-profit House United Movement, flying or Zooming 30-40 weeks per year to come alongside churches, universities, seminaries, denominations, interfaith gatherings, corporate teams, and families as they work to collaborate and build community in a polarized land. His book, A House United: How the Church Can Save the World, is a manifesto for the movement in its Christian application. Allen has an M.Div. from Princeton Seminary, and a Ph.D. from Yale University.
