Summer Stretch Registration Open!
I’m telling you… it was worth the wait! I’m so excited about the incredible experience that we have in store for our incoming 6th-9th graders! Summer Stretch is an opportunity for Middle School Students to come and STRETCH their faith.
EACH DAY WILL INCLUDE A SERVICE LEARNING PROJECT, RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES TO GROW IN RELATIONSHIP & COMMUNITY, FAITHFUL MORNING DEVOTIONAL TIME & MORE!
Start and end your summer with us. Summer Stretch is an all-day activity. Please plan to be a part of the whole day. Check-in will from 8-8:30 am and pick up will be from 4:30-5 pm at Wayzata Community Church. This means we will have a rolling start and finish with some free play time to help accommodate schedules for those that have to arrive/leave a little earlier or a little later. Friends are definitely invited to come and join in on the fun.

Wednesday, July 17- WCC Rummage Sale & St. Paul Saints Game
Wednesday, August 7- Poverty Simulation & Bde Maka Ska/Lake Calhoun Water Activities
Cost is $50 per student per day and includes a t-shirt, lunch & snacks, transportation to and from activities by professional bus drivers, service projects and activities. Sign up for all 3 days and get a discount of $5 per day! Refunds will not be given for cancellations after two weeks before each Summer Stretch day. We have a limit of 40 students per day.
WE NEED ADULT VOLUNTEER LEADERS FOR EACH DAY! Adults receive a t-shirt, lunch & snacks, and a full day of fun (AND lots of gratitude!) AND YOUR MIDDLE SCHOOLER GETS TO ATTEND THAT DAY FOR FREE!

Important Dates for 8th Grade!
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 24 (6:30-8PM)- 8TH GRADE MILESTONE- 8th Graders to High School on Wed & 8th Grade Parent/Caregiver Time
8th graders, along with their leaders are invited to go to “High School on Wednesday” to see what they get to be a part of next year and help them transition to High School Ministry! While they are doing that 8th grade parents will gather to talk about how to help their student transition into High School. NEW THIS YEAR! Join us for dinner first with other 8th grade families & your 8th Graders Leaders from 5:45-6:30pm in Mithun Hall at WCC!
NO REGISTRATION- JUST SHOW UP!
SATURDAY, MAY 4 (3 PM) – SUNDAY MAY 5 (12NOON)- 8th Graders & 8th Grade Leaders to High School Retreat
This is a special rite of passage for our WCC 8th Graders. High School Ministry invites the 8th Graders to part of the High School Spring Retreat. Come get to know other high schoolers, hear their faith projects, have some fun and learn a little more about High School Ministry. Also, our group of 8th graders and 8th grade leaders will enjoy a special dinner and will stay in our own cabins together. Cost is $50 and includes lodging, transportation, meals and snacks and all activities. Scholarships available.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 8 (6:30-8PM)- 8TH GRADE MILESTONE- Celebrating Our 8th Graders
Please join us as we celebrate our 8th graders and bless them (and their parents/caregivers!) at Crossroads, before they head to High School. Following, we will enjoy a reception just for the 8th Graders and their families and 8th grade leaders! We will enjoy time together, reflect on our experience together and celebrate this amazing class. We will also give parents and students a chance to hear about all the amazing things in the family’s future connected to WCC.

5th Grade Families- Please join us on Wednesday, May 1 to learn all about the excitement of the next 3 years for your child in Middle School Ministry at WCC. Please join us for our full experience of Crossroads at 6:30pm to see what we are all about and what to expect on Wednesday nights next year. Then at 7, when the 6th, 7th & 8th graders go to Small Groups, please stay for an informational meeting to see what is offered for you and your 5th grader in Middle School Ministry and ask any questions you may have. This meeting is open to anyone interested in being a part of or learning more about Middle School Ministry at WCC, including friends!
Even if you have already had a Middle Schooler, please bring your 5th grader. They will have the opportunity to meet the rest of the Middle School Ministry family, including some of their Middle School Leaders for next year!

We have a lot of amazing ministry for your Middle Schooler to be involved in this summer and we want to get the dates out to you so you can start to put them on your calendar, talk to friends and plan for your Middle Schooler to spend time with us this summer!

SUMMER FUN WITH OUR MS LEADERS- for current 6th, 7th & 8th Graders!

Back by popular demand! Last Summer was our first Summer of Summer Fun with MS Leaders and it was a BLAST! Middle School Leaders will offer different fun activities to do with a group of MSers to get to know different MSers. There will be a limit to how many Middle Schoolers can sign up. When it’s full, it’s full. We will post different events on May 15 for June, June 15 for July & July 15 for August for each month through an email and social media. Have fun as a group & enjoy meeting some new friends & spending time with other leaders! Depending on the activity, there might be a fee or you might be asked to bring something to share with the group! Last years events included biking and ice cream, going to a Ninja Warrior Course, Backyard BBQ with Lawn Games, Hiking at Baker Park, Mini Golf, Swimming at Long Lake Beach, and going to a Twins Game!

The Last Few Weeks
SUNDAY, MARCH 31
- We worked on a few service project creating Easter decorations for Folkestone & Meridian Manor.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3
- Spring Break Week 2- We did a few different service projects and then had some fun playing dodgeball. We ended the night by enjoying an ice cream sundae bar.
SUNDAY, APRIL 7
- We talked about Paul and about how he started a movement by traveling all over telling people about Jesus and starting churches.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 10
- Well, it was another Snowy Wednesday. So, we went into Operation Snow Plan and enjoyed some time with the kindergarten through 5th graders as we played games in the gym, got creative in the Art Room and watched a movie in the Middle School Corner.

Where’s CBW?
I LOVE SEEING WHAT MIDDLE SCHOOLERS ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT OUTSIDE OF WCC but getting their event schedule is pretty challenging sometimes! I need your help, please let me know about your middle schooler’s events (THINK PLAYS, GAMES, MUSICAL PERFORMANCES, SHOWS, SCHOLAR COMPETITIONS, ETC!)
