Nate & I (and the rest of the Family Ministries Team) had an incredible week in Atlanta at the Orange Conference learning all about best practices for ministry. We can’t wait to work on implementing some of these ideas and make WCCMS the best it can be including supporting students more & helping our parents win at church & at home! Because Middle School Ministry is for Middle Schoolers AND their parents.

ATTENTION 8th Grade Families!
It’s time to start thinking about HIGH SCHOOL MINISTRY at WCC! We had a great Wednesday night learning all about High School Ministry from Gabe, Jordan and a few high schoolers. Now you have the opportunity to learn even more! Join us SATURDAY, MAY 5 (3 PM) – SUNDAY MAY 6 (NOON) as the 8th Graders go to High School Retreat. Come get to know other high schoolers, hear their faith projects and learn a little more about High School Ministry. We will also enjoy a special dinner as a group of 8th graders and 8th grade leaders and will stay in our own cabins.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 9 (6-8:30PM)- 8th Grade Celebration- 8th grade families, please join us as we celebrate our 8th graders and bless them in WOW and then have a reception after. Families invited to celebrate with us! Look for an evite in your inbox!
TIME TO WELCOME IN OUR 5th GRADERS!
5th Grade Families- Please join us THIS Wednesday, May 2 at 7:15pm to learn all about the excitement of the next 3 years that awaits your soon to be 6th grader. We are so excited to see you and your 5th grader and welcome you to Middle School Ministry at Wayzata Community Church. Please wait outside the Middle School Room with the rest of the Middle Schoolers until Crossroads begins.
Even if you have already had a Middle Schooler, please bring your 5th grader. They will have the opportunity to meet the rest of the Middle School family (including their Middle School Leaders for next year!)!
We (myself, middle school small group leaders and current middle schoolers) invite you and your 5th grader to join us for Crossroads (in the Middle School Corner, located by the Gym, next to the men’s restroom) at 7:15pm to see what we are all about and what to expect on Wednesday nights next year. Then at 7:50ish when the 6th, 7th & 8th graders go to Small Groups, please stay for an informational meeting to see what is offered for you and your 5th grader in Middle School Ministry and answer any questions you may have. This meeting is open to anyone interested in being a part of/or learning more about Middle School Ministry, including friends!

WEDNESDAY CROSSROADS
Middle School Leader Pam shared a great message about what does it look like to live our faith out. She talked with us about her nephew and all that he did in his short life.
SUNDAY SEEDS
We talked about Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead and enjoyed a movie clip from the Skit Guys and a competition quiz. We learned that when bad things happen, it doesn’t mean God doesn’t care. God has compassion for what we are feeling and going through. We also need to have compassion for what others are experiencing.

Where’s CBW?
I LOVE SEEING WHAT MIDDLE SCHOOLERS ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT OUTSIDE OF WCC but getting their event schedule is pretty challenging sometimes! I need your help, please let me know about your middle schooler’s events (THINK PLAYS, GAMES, MUSICAL PERFORMANCES, SHOWS, SCHOLAR COMPETITIONS, ETC!)
