Sacraments in The UCC
Sacraments are ritual actions in worship which, according to Scripture, were instituted by Jesus. In the sacraments of baptism and communion we ask the Holy Spirit to use water, bread, and wine to make visible the grace, forgiveness, and presence of God in Christ.
Baptism
The Sacrament of Baptism marks our entrance into the universal Christian community. Wayzata Community Church considers it a privilege when families or individuals choose this church community through which to begin the lifelong journey of faith among Christians.
If you are considering Baptism for your child, or for yourself, registration for a 2020 Baptism Sunday is needed to reserve a date. Please contact Camilla Farley to check current availability for baptism dates.
Communion
Communion is served in worship at all of our services at various times of the month. Our 8:00 a.m. Sunday Communion Worship Service & the 10:00 a.m. Parables Worship Service serve communion every Sunday. Children are welcomed to the Table at their parents’ discretion. You are also invited to our communion Milestone in 5th grade to learn more about communion.
