Baptisms, Weddings, and Funerals

Baptisms

Baptism is a meaningful and memorable moment in the life of faith. Through the gift of water, we celebrate God’s grace, unconditional love, and our belonging within the family of God. Baptism is a sign of God’s love for all people and an invitation into a lifelong journey of faith, community, growth, and belonging.

When Do Baptisms Occur?

Baptisms take place during Sunday worship services at Wayzata Community Church.

Upcoming baptism dates:

• Sunday, June 21, 2026

• Sunday, July 19, 2026

• Sunday, August 30, 2026

Baptisms may be scheduled during either the 8:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. worship service.

How Do I Schedule a Baptism?

To begin, please complete our online Baptism Request Form. Once your request is submitted, a member of our team will follow up by email with additional instructions.
A member of our pastoral team will also connect with you a few weeks before your baptism date to talk through the meaning of baptism, answer any questions, and walk through the logistics for the day. Any questions? Contact Rev. Dan Stark.

- Preferred ceremony location (Sanctuary, Chapel, Garden, or Off-Site)
- Preferred rehearsal and ceremony date/time
- Clergy preference (if any)

Step 2: Meet with a Pastor

Once your registration form is submitted, a member of our team will follow up with the next steps and help guide you through the wedding planning process.

Our pastors look forward to meeting with you, getting to know your story, and helping you prepare for a meaningful and Christ-centered marriage ceremony.

Funerals & Memorial Services

At Wayzata Community Church, we walk alongside individuals and families through every season of life, including times of grief and loss. We are honored to offer compassionate care, support, and meaningful services as family and friends gather to remember, celebrate, and give thanks for the life of a loved one.

Our faith reminds us that love endures, that no one grieves alone, and that hope can be found even in moments of sorrow and uncertainty. Through memorial and funeral services, we create space for remembrance, healing, gratitude, and community.

Funeral and memorial services are available for both church members and non-members.

Planning a Funeral or Memorial Service

To begin planning a funeral or memorial service, please contact Lee Minors, our funeral coordinator.

Our pastoral staff and funeral coordinator will help guide you through the planning process with care and compassion, including service details, worship planning, music, receptions, and logistical support.

Memorial Garden & Columbarium

For centuries, Christians have honored loved ones with sacred places of remembrance and repose. In this tradition, Wayzata Community Church’s Memorial Garden offers a peaceful and reflective space for remembrance, prayer, and meditation.

Columbarium

Our Columbarium provides a dignified resting place for cremated remains. Niches are designed to hold up to two urns and are sealed with engraved stone fronts displaying the names and life dates of those interred within.

Memorial Wall

Located near the Columbarium, the Memorial Wall offers a simple and elegant place to honor loved ones whose remains may be interred elsewhere. Names are engraved on beautiful limestone as a lasting tribute and memorial.

Memorial Wall engravings and Columbarium niches are available to current WCC members and their spouses, partners, and family members.

We Are Here for You

In moments of grief, you do not have to walk alone. Our clergy and care team are here to support you with prayer, guidance, and compassionate care every step of the way.
