Middle School Ministry

At Wayzata Community Church, Middle School Ministry is a vital part of our broader Family Ministries mission — nurturing faith at every stage of life and supporting students and families as they grow together.
Middle school is a time of big questions, growing independence, and discovering identity. That’s why we create a space where students feel welcomed, known, and encouraged as they explore their faith in meaningful, age-appropriate ways. Supported by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, our ministry is relational, experiential, and rooted in real-life conversations that matter to middle schoolers.
Through Sunday mornings and midweek gatherings, students engage in a blend of learning, music, service, and community-building experiences. Together, we explore the stories of the Bible, practice worship, and begin to shape a personal, lasting relationship with God — all within a supportive and inclusive environment where every student belongs.

Our Values

Love: Experiencing and sharing the radically inclusive love of God.

Belong: Creating space for every child to feel safe, known, and valued.

Grow: Helping children build a strong foundation for a lifetime of faith.

Do: Encouraging kindness, compassion, and service in everyday life.

Middle School Summer Sunday Mornings

June 14 & August 16 • 10:00–11:00 a.m.
Free • No pre-registration required

Middle schoolers are invited to start their Sunday morning with a relaxed time to connect, laugh, and grow together. During Summer Mornings, we’ll gather during the 10:00 a.m. worship hour for a laid-back version of Middle School Sundays.

Enjoy breakfast treats (think donuts, bagels, Pop-Tarts, and maybe even something homemade), a short devotion, and games with friends. There will also be plenty of space for life updates, big faith questions, and general goofiness—whatever the vibe of the group is that particular morning.

Some of our amazing leaders will be there too, making it a fun and welcoming way to stay connected over the summer. Just come as you are!
