Contemplative Practices Program - Informational Meeting
Monday, September 21 • 6:30 p.m. • Colonnade
No pre-registration required
What do you seek? (John 1:38-39) What might it look like to notice God’s presence woven into your everyday life? We invite WCC members to explore the Contemplative Practices Program to deepen your spirituality and become more attentive to the sacred in the ordinary. As you become grounded in your inner life, you’ll begin to discern how you are called to serve in the world's healing.
Join our informational meeting to learn how the program can help you grow. During the one-hour discussion, led by Rev. Dustin Janzen, Rev. Dan Stark, Dana Essex, and past members of the Contemplative Practices Program, they will share insights and answer your questions. To learn more, contact Dana Essex.
Wayzata Community Church began this unique opportunity for spiritual formation in 2023. We are in the third year of The Contemplative Discipleship Partnership with the University of St. Catherine, funded by a grant from the Lilly Foundation.

Photography Exhibit: The Chartres Labyrinth Around the World
Featuring Photographer & WCC Member Jill Geoffrion
Now - July 27
Free • All ages welcome
Step into a journey that spans centuries and continents. The Chartres Labyrinth Around the World pairs images of the original thirteenth-century labyrinth at Chartres Cathedral in France with photographs of contemporary Chartres-style labyrinths built and walked by communities around the globe — many of them shaped by upheaval, displacement, and loss.
For nearly 800 years, Chartres Cathedral has endured through war and change, standing today as a UNESCO World Heritage site and a symbol of peace and international friendship. This exhibit explores how its labyrinth — once a path walked by medieval pilgrims — has become a living spiritual practice for people far beyond France, including right here at Wayzata Community Church.
The exhibition was created by The Rev. Jill Geoffrion, PhD, a WCC member, photographer, and world-renowned expert on labyrinths and the Chartres Cathedral. We invite you to view the exhibit in our art gallery, then take the next step yourself on WCC's own Peace Labyrinth — a space for quiet attention, reflection, and prayer that opens room for healing, resilience, and hope.
The exhibit is open through July 27.
