We're a place where faith meets real life.

Wayzata Community Church is a place for real people, real questions, and a shared commitment to follow Jesus and love our neighbors well.
our vision
Inspire the world with the inclusive love of Jesus.

Our Mission

We’re a caring community, drawn together by grace —
and called to:

To be a caring community drawn together by God’s grace and called to personally live out Christ’s love.

To actively extend a welcome invitation to all people, embracing each other with uncompromising compassion.

To boldly challenge our own complacency through courageous conversation and transformational worship.

To relentlessly share our extraordinary gifts through life-changing mission and service—near and far.

Who We Are

WCC stands at the intersection of tradition and relevance. We honor a deep faith heritage — without letting it trap us in the past. We embrace differences as strengths, celebrate big questions, and believe spiritual growth happens in community, not isolation.

We’re part of the United Church of Christ tradition, which means we welcome diverse perspectives, respect personal journeys of faith, and don’t force conformity — we cherish connection.

Our Commitment to Inclusion
We welcome into full membership and participation in all aspects of our church life, persons of every race, language, national origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, physical or mental ability, economic or marital status and faith background, and we officiate and celebrate all loving and committed relationships.

What We Believe

In God’s unconditional love and grace, which extends to all people
In Jesus Christ whose life reveals God’s redeeming work in the human family
In the Holy Spirit which brings us into closer harmony with God, creation, one another, and ourselves

Our Community Today

WCC isn’t a building. It’s a living, breathing community of nearly 3,000 people — bound by a shared love of Christ and a commitment to each other. Families, young adults, retirees, kids, and everyone in between find space here to connect, serve, and belong.

We offer vibrant worship, mission opportunities, community programs, and faith formation that meet you where you are — not where someone else says you should be.

Your Next Step

Whether you’ve been in church your whole life or are walking in for the first time, you are welcome here—no fine print, no hoops to jump through.

You don’t have to clean up your life, agree on everything, or meet a certain standard to be part of this community. You already are.

Around here, we like to say community is our middle name—and we mean it. This is a place where you’ll be known, supported, and never walk alone.
